Justin Galvonsen stopped his pickup in front of the gate and half yelled into the intercom identifying himself. A moment later there was a sharp buzz and the gate retracted.
He drove up the long unpaved drive to where he saw rows of contractor trailers. Workers in hard hats milled about and beyond he could see scaffolding against a mesa of red-orange stone.
He parked and crossed the dusty yard to the trailer marked with a sign that read “All Visitors Sign In.” Site security stood guard.
Inside, the young engineer asked him who he was.
“I’m your new boss.”
